We nurture the talents of tomorrow

When we think about the future, we also think about the next generation. That’s why we’re committed to giving children and young people early access to the digital world. Through partnerships, sponsorships and our own event formats, we promote media literacy, technical understanding and a love of IT.

Jugendzentrum.digital

Together with Jugendzentrum.digital, we are creating a space where children and teens can explore digital technologies, learn to code and gain their first experiences in esports. Through workshops and collaborative projects, we open up new perspectives for their future.

A matter of honor

We support socially disadvantaged or refugee youth as they take their first steps into the job market. Through the “Ehrensache” mentoring program - a collaboration between the REWE GROUP and the Joblinge initiative - employees can voluntarily undergo training to become mentors and guide young people on their journey to becoming responsible and strong individuals.

STEM in may

Together with Jugendzentrum.digital, the Coding School, and “AI in Schools,” we create interactive spaces where children and teens can learn about programming and artificial intelligence through hands-on experiences. The event usually takes place on the first weekend in May.

Girls'Day

We’ve been participating in Girls’ Day for over a decade, opening the door to our tech world for young girls. We show them just how versatile IT can be, make digital topics accessible and encourage them to ask their own questions, try new things and maybe even take their first step toward a future in tech.

Ready, Study, Go

For the past two years, we have been a network partner in the “Ready, Study, Go” project at the Cologne University of applied sciences. Together, we help international students prepare for the german job market and get their careers off to a good start in the region. As REWE digital, we provide practical insights into our work environment, share tips on job applications and starting a career and create opportunities for personal interaction with our colleagues.

Hello, LGBTQAI+ Community – different together

We are diverse and stand by our values - across the entire REWE GROUP as well as within our teams. For us, the rainbow isn’t just a marketing tool - it represents our clear stance: We are committed to equality, tolerance and acceptance. No matter who you love or how you identify - you belong here. This commitment is evident, among other things, at CSD and through DITO, our LGBTQAI+ network within the REWE GROUP.

What began in 2013 as a casual get-together among employees has been an official network since 2014, advocating for an open and respectful work environment. With Lionel Souque as its patron and straight ally, DITO sends a clear message of diversity in action and genuine belonging.

Getting more women into IT

The proportion of women in IT professions is rising - and we’re celebrating that. But with women making up only about a quarter of the workforce, we’re still far from achieving gender equality. That’s why we inspire young girls to pursue technology at our annual Girls’ Day and provide targeted support to help women advance in their careers.

Through f.ernetzt, WomEngineers @ REWE digital, the X Female Resources cross-mentoring program and the Women’s Drive development program, we create opportunities for exchange, networking and personal growth.

Because at our company, everyone - regardless of gender - can contribute their strengths, take on responsibility and become a leader - with fair pay and the clear goal of permanently closing the gender pay gap.

When you’re doing well, we’re doing well, too. That’s why we’re making our Home of IT a place where you can feel at ease and talk openly about stress. With programs focused on mindfulness, resilience, relaxation, work-life balance and physical fitness, we help you use your resources wisely, recharge and stay healthy even in challenging situations.

In addition, professional advisors from DAK Gesundheit and B·A·D are here to support you. With LoS!, our life-stage-oriented self-help program, you can also find trained peer mentors right among your colleagues who will listen to you confidentially and offer you support.
