Home of IT: REWE digital Spain

We are the home for techies all around the world. In our tech we combine IT and non-IT specialists from a wide range of fields. Together, we bring innovations to life - for retail to enhance the everyday lives of millions of people.

REWE digital Spain belongs to REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390,000 employees. In REWE digital overall there are over 2,200 IT specialists who set standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and development of new technologies for the sector.

REWE digital Spain is located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga. As a team of 70 colleagues, we drive innovation for REWE digital in Germany.

The Frontline Information & Knowledge is looking for an IT Business Engineer. The IT Business Engineer connects business requirements with technical implementation and ensures that business value is realized efficiently, in a user-oriented way, and sustainably. He/She acts as a methodologically strong translator between the business department and IT throughout the entire product and development lifecycle.

What you will do:

  • Business and process analysis (as-is / to-be, gap analyses, end-to-end perspective)
  • Methodological expertise (agile & traditional, e.g. Scrum artifacts, workshops, reviews)
  • Creation of understandable business concepts and decision-making foundations
  • Basic understanding of IT architectures, system landscapes, and interfaces
  • Understanding of software development processes and technical dependencies
  • Ability to formulate requirements in a technically close way without developing independently
  • Active stakeholder management (business, IT, management)
  • Facilitation of workshops, refinements, and decision-making rounds
  • Clear, structured, and audience-appropriate communication
  • Confident presence in interdisciplinary teams
  • Consistent focus on business value and user benefit
  • Prioritization of requirements based on benefits, risks, and dependencies
  • Thinking along the product lifecycle instead of being purely project-oriented

What you will bring:

  • Experience in working with and managing external service providers
  • Experience contributing within the context of the in-house software development process
  • Basic knowledge of common work tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Tools supported within the product (knowledge is a plus): tts performance suite, FLIP employee app
  • Experience in test management and test execution
  • Understanding of the logistics and store environment (frontline workers)
  • German language skills for stakeholder and target-group communication / support
  • Willingness to travel as part of on-site support for rollouts and pilot implementations in stores and logistics locations across Germany
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
  • High degree of ownership and decision-making ability
  • Adaptability in a product- and skill-based organization
  • Ability to provide orientation in uncertain or dynamic contexts

What we Offer:

  • A startup-like culture with fascinating opportunities, combined with the security of being part of a major corporate force in the REWE Group
  • Challenging tasks but also a tech playground
  • Work in a modern office, fostering creativity, collaboration, and agility
  • A flexible, autonomous work environment where your ideas will contribute to our collective success
  • Open communication culture in an international environment with steady growth, and more to come!

  Our Benefits:

  • Hybrid work and flexible working time
