FAQ
How do I apply for a job?
Click on the job you are interested in. This will either take you to the REWE Group career portal or straight to our application form. Both routes lead to us. What are you waiting for?
What documents do I need to upload with my application?
Your current CV, your earliest possible starting date and your salary expectations are a must.
You can optionally add relevant references and a cover letter.
I am interested in several positions. Can I send one application for all of them?
That’s cool that you can see yourself in several roles.
Please apply for each position separately as different departments or teams are often involved in the selection process. Thank you.
Can I work remotely?
Yes, this is possible in most cases. Our flexible working models consider the needs and interests of each individual as well as the team. So you decide together how often to see each other in real life or remotely.
However, as not every job can be done remotely yet, please bring this up at
your personal interview.
Together, we will find the best solution for you and your team. Further information can be found here:
Can I submit a speculative application?
Speculative applications are possible, but only via this link. You can find all vacancies in the job exchange at the top of this page. New vacancies are posted almost on a daily basis, so keep checking!
I am interested in an apprenticeship or a dual study programme. What must I consider?
You will also find positions for trainees and dual students in our job openings. You can apply directly online. An online assistant will guide you through the process step by step so you don’t forget anything. Alternatively, you can also send us your application by post or e-mail.
The subsequent application process differs slightly from the steps outlined above. To start with, we invite you to take an online test. If you pass it, we will arrange a phone call so we can get to know you and we will invite you to attend an applicant day at one of our sites. And who knows, maybe we’ll subsequently make you an offer for an apprenticeship or a dual study programme at the Home of IT.
What is the online test like for applicants for an apprenticeship or a dual study programme?
The test only takes around 40–50 minutes and consists of five to seven different modules, depending on which profession you have applied for. You have five days from receipt of the invitation e-mail to complete the test. You can interrupt the test when you have completed a module and complete it at a later point in time within the given time frame. If you pass the test, we’d like to call you to become better acquainted with you.
How can I prepare for the telephone interview?
The phone call gives us a chance to get to know each other. You should introduce yourself and in particular explain your motivation for your application or your chosen profession. But don’t worry: just be yourself and take the opportunity to ask us any questions you might have.
If we expect you to prepare for a certain subject, we’ll let you know about this by e-mail.
What can I expect on applicant day?
On applicant day we will invite you to one of our sites. You don’t need much preparation, as you can prepare all the exercises here on site. However, to avoid unnecessary stress on the day, you should plan your journey and where to park etc. in advance. Plan a bit of extra time in case you get stuck in a traffic jam or a train is cancelled. On the day itself you don’t need to be nervous, everything will be explained to you in detail. Be authentic when you do the exercises, just like you are in “real life”. Because that’s the only way we can really get to know you. We look forward to meeting you!
