Here tradition meets modernity

The REWE digital headquarters are located in this beautiful city on the Rhine. In the middle of the Carlswerk, a converted cable factory in colourful Cologne Mühlheim, a modern and open workspace for more than 600 employees has been created in buildings with urban industrial charm.

Our goals

Still so young and already 550 employees.

Where cables and steel ropes were still produced until the 1990s, today a lively city quarter with a large industrial campus has developed. The large halls of the Carlswerk - also affectionately called “Silicon Veedel” (which translate to “Silicon Quarter”, or “Silicon Hood”) by us - are now home to REWE digital. Our headquarters was built here on huge surfaces, which, with its exciting interior design and open space concept, offers the perfect environment for our agile work.

As a digitalisation unit for REWE Group and the food trade, we bring together many different areas from technology and logistics to controlling and finance. Our employees are therefore as varied as their tasks. And because everyone should exchange ideas at all times, we have no individual offices - not even for the bosses. That's what makes our work so lively.

Built close to the water

From the Carlswerk you can reach the Rhine on foot in a few minutes. Here you will find the perfect jogging route towards Mülheim harbour and the most beautiful places for a picnic during the break or a beer after work with colleagues.
